Job Description

Responsibilities
Grant Program Management
  • Lead the development and execution of grant programs in alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
  • Oversee the entire life cycle of grants, including design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Grant Application Processing
  • Design and manage the grant application process, ensuring transparency, fairness, and adherence to guidelines.
  • Provide guidance to potential applicants, conduct information sessions, and address inquiries
Grant Evaluation and Selection
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of grant applications, assessing alignment with organizational objectives and potential impact.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to make informed recommendations on grant selections.
Monitoring and Reporting
  • Establish and implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for grant-funded projects.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting from grantees, and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders
Relationship Management
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with grantees, serving as a primary point of contact.
  • Provide support, guidance, and foster collaboration among grantees and other stakeholders.
Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent; advanced degree desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in grants management, including international grantmaking, expenditure responsibility, and other legal/IRS compliance issues.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and evaluating grant programs.
Analytical Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess the impact and effectiveness of grant initiatives.
Communication Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical, budgetary, and grants administration details to staff, donors, grantees, and Board members.
