Job Description
Responsibilities
Strategic Communication
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans to enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation.
- Craft compelling narratives that effectively communicate Kondana’s mission, values, and impact to diverse stakeholders.
Media Relations
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
- Prepare and distribute press releases, organize media briefings, and manage media inquiries.
Content Creation
- Create engaging and impactful content for various platforms, including press releases, articles, and social media posts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.
Event Management
- Plan and execute events, including press conferences, product launches, and community engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics, manage invitations, and ensure successful execution of events
Crisis Communication
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate potential issues.
- Act as a spokesperson for the organization during crisis situations
Stakeholder Management
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the community.
- Develop and maintain a network of influencers and advocates for the organization.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Public Relations Officer or in a similar role, with a track record of successful PR campaigns.
Communication Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to tailor communication to different audiences and platforms.
Media Relations
- Strong relationships with media outlets and experience in managing press interactions.
- Demonstrated success in securing media coverage.
Strategic Thinking
- Skill in developing and implementing crisis communication plans.
- Ability to remain calm and articulate during high-pressure situations
